Laurie Bennett
Laurie Bennett is a co-founder of Muckety, as well as a co-founder of ePodunk, a community-information web site that was sold to Internet Brands in June 2007. Her journalism career spans 30 years, including positions as city editor of the Rochester (NY) Times-Union, government reporter for Gannett News Service in Washington, investigative reporter for the Detroit News and new media editor for the Detroit Free Press.

Gary Jacobson
Gary Jacobson, a co-founder of Muckety, is a reporter on the sports staff of The Dallas Morning News. He has also covered business news and been an editor at The News, USA Today and the Rochester (N.Y.) Times-Union. He was the founding publisher and editor of the Arlington Morning News, one of the last daily newspaper start-ups in the U.S. It no longer exists. He is the co-author with John Hillkirk of two books, Xerox: American Samurai (Macmillan, 1986), Grit, Guts & Genius (Houghton Mifflin, 1990).

John Decker
John Decker, is a co-founder of Muckety, as well as a co-founder of ePodunk, a community-information web site. Decker has been a journalist for more than 20 years. His career path has included stops at The Record in Hackensack, New Jersey, the Detroit Free Press, New York Times Digital, the Sacramento Bee and a stint in the administration of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has BS in finance from the University of Vermont and Master of Arts in photo communications from Ohio University.
Carol Eisenberg
Carol Eisenberg, senior editor, has spent 30 years as a reporter and editor, covering homeland security, religion and health policy, among other beats, at Newsday. She was part of two Pulitzer Prize-winning teams at Newsday and is a former Nieman fellow at Harvard University. She also worked at the Rochester (N.Y.) Times-Union and the Ithaca (N.Y.) Journal. She is a graduate of Cornell University where she majored in history.

A. James Memmott
Jim Memmott is a veteran of 27 years in journalism in Rochester, N.Y., where he was a reporter, city editor and managing editor at the Times-Union and managing editor, senior editor and columnist at the Democrat and Chronicle before retiring in July. He continues to write a regular column for the Democrat & Chronicle. He also teaches journalism in the English Department at the University of Rochester and lives in Geneseo, N.Y.

Ali Jones
Ali Jones has worked as a speechwriter, book editor and publicist, and has written for The Dallas Morning News and Southern Methodist University's SMU Magazine. Her love of tennis has taken her to Wimbledon and countless smaller tournaments over the past 20 years. She has lived in the Philippines, Mexico, Thailand and the Czech Republic, and now makes her home in Texas.

Eric Rosenberg
Eric Rosenberg is a national correspondent at the Washington, D.C., bureau of Hearst Newspapers, where he writes about national security, health and science, among other issues. Before joining Hearst in 1995, he was a reporter and editor for six years with Defense Week, in Washington, D.C., also covering national security matters. He received an MBA in 2006 from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
