Martin S. Feldstein is president emeritus of the National Bureau of Economic Research and the George F. Baker Professor of Economics at Harvard University.
He became an assistant professor at Harvard in 1967, an associate professor in 1968, and a professor in 1969.
From 1982 through 1984, he served as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers and President Ronald Reagan’s chief economic adviser.
President Obama appointed him as a member of the Economic Recovery Advisory Board.
