Biographical information:
Racicot has served as president and CEO of the American Insurance Association since August 2005. Prior to that, he was an attorney at the law firm of Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP from 2001 to 2005.
He is a former governor (1993 to 2001) and attorney general (1989 to 1993) of Montana.
Racicot was appointed by President Bush to serve as the chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2002 to 2003 and he served as chairman of the Bush/Cheney Re-election Committee from 2003 to 2004.
He presently serves as a director of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, and as a member of the board of visitors for the University of Montana School of Law.
