John M. Keane is the co-founder and senior managing director of Keane Advisors, LLC, a private equity investment firm, and president of GSI, LLC, an independent consulting firm.
He is also senior advisor to Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts and Co., a private equity firm specializing in management buyouts, and an adviser to the chairman and CEO of URS Corporation, a global engineering design firm.
Keane served in the U.S. Army for 37 years. He was vice chief of staff and COO of the Army from 1999 until his retirement in October 2003.
He is a director of General Dynamics Corporation and a member of the board of managers of Allied Security Holdings LLC. He also is a military contributor and analyst with ABC News and is a member of the U.S. Department of Defense Policy Board.
He also serves on the boards of the Knollwood Foundation, the Pentagon Memorial Fund, the Army Heritage Foundation, the George C. Marshall Foundation and the Rand Corporation.
