Criminal/civil charges: Mars was charged with reckless driving in 2013, after causing a fatal accident in northern Virginia. Her vehicle crossed a median and crashed into a minivan. A passenger in the van died; the pregnant driver was critically hurt and lost her baby. Mars, who did not test positive for alcohol or drugs, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless driving. “I will always live with the grief and loss caused by this tragedy,” she told the court.
